About the Concert

Join us in celebrating the 300th anniversary of one of J.S. Bach’s most renowned vocal works, as LancasterChorale, central Ohio’s premiere chamber choir, presents an exceptional performance. Composed in 1723, the Magnificat BWV 243 is a jubilant biblical canticle consisting of multiple movements, beautifully crafted for choir, soloists, and orchestra.  

In addition, we pay homage to G.F. Handel, Bach’s esteemed contemporary in England, by showcasing four sensational anthems composed for choir and orchestra in 1727 for the coronation of King George II. Prepare to be enthralled as LancasterChorale delivers spine-tingling renditions of “Zadok the Priest” and “The King Shall Rejoice” from this illustrious collection.

A consummate professional conductor, Dr. Caracciolo is widely recognized for his unwavering passion and artistic brilliance. His talent has led him to guest conduct with prestigious ensembles such as the Handel Choir of Baltimore, Washington National Cathedral, and the Nicolini Conservatory in Italy. Furthermore, Dr. Caracciolo’s compositions have garnered acclaim, with his choral works regularly performed throughout the United States.  

In addition to his role as Artistic Director of LancasterChorale, we are delighted to share that Dr. Caracciolo has been appointed as the Chorus Master for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. This new appointment further solidifies his exceptional musical leadership and dedication to the choral arts.
